Our Team

Ken Hatchett
Ken is our construction specialist with over twenty years experience in the industry.  He is a Certified Graduate Remodeler (CGR).  In order to obtain his CGR, he had to meet prescribed standards of business practice, possess a minimum of five years remodeling industry experience, have a proven track record of successful project management, complete a comprehensive education curriculum, and pledge to uphold the program's code of ethics.   Also, Ken has a design certification for "Aging in Place," which educated him on how to design safe and comfortable surroundings for older adults and individuals with disabilities.  One of Ken’s career highlights was in 2006, when he served as the President of the Peninsula Homebuilders Association. 

Coaching his boys in youth baseball and fly fishing are his favorite past times.


 
Kevin Alligood
Kevin is a bath and construction specialist. With over 11 years in the building industry, he has developed a reputation for creating and designing affordable space for many different budget levels. He has a design certification for "Aging in Place."

Spending time with family and friends, golfing and attending professional and college sporting events especially football are some of his favorite activities.

Christy Adams
Our Kitchen and Master Bath Specialist, Christy, has more than 12 years of experience in residential and commercial interior design, with 5 years specifically in Kitchen and Bath design.
Christy has a four year degree in interior design, Starmark Certification of Completion for Product and Sales Training and Cabinet Design, Certified Aging-In-Place Specialist, Certification in NAHB course on Home Modifications Course, Certification in NAHB course on Working With and Marketing to Older Adults, and Certification of Completion on Profitable Showroom Design Course.
When Christy is not designing, she enjoys reading, saltwater fishing, and relaxing at the beach with family and friends.

Michael Hatchett
Michael is the third generation in the family business. He has his undergraduate degree from Hampden-Sydney College and a MBA from William & Mary's Mason School of Business. Before joining Hatchett in 2005, Michael worked for Ferguson Enterprises as a sales person and branch satellite manager which gives him a strong wealth of plumbing product and installation knowledge. He consults homeowners on a wide array of services from simple home repairs to complex design projects.



Jessica Whitbeck
Jessica Altman graduated from Virginia Tech in 2007, with a major in Kitchen and Bath Design and a minor in Interior Design. She was amongst the first class to graduate from the Virginia Tech NKBA accredited Kitchen and Bath School. Following her graduation, Jessica began working at Hatchett where she now designs kitchens and bath, amongst other spaces.  She has earned certifications from Starmark Cabinetry.
When she is not working, Jessica enjoys traveling with her husband, spending time with family and friends and cheering on the Redskins & Hokies!


 
Ron Buhl
Ron has been in the remodeling industry for over 35 years. He has a wealth of experience and knowledge that clients find very helpful.  His projects include everything from major home additions, to small maintenance repairs.  In 2005, Ron won a national award for a complete house renovation with a maximum budget of $200K.  His projects have also won numerous local awards from the Peninsula Homebuilder’s Association including a grand award for residential addition, grand award for residential interior, and for kitchen design.
Ron’s goal with each of his clients is to plan and design projects that fulfill their needs and exceed expectations while staying within their budget.



Meghan Hatchett Hodges
Meghan is the third generation in the family business.   In 2005, she graduated from Lynchburg College with a degree in Business. Before Hatchett, Meghan moved to Washington DC, where she worked for The Washington Post as a marketing consultant for Builders and Remodelers.  This role gave her a great deal of knowledge on the remodeling industry and design trends.    Meghan’s objective is to plan and design a project that shows the homeowners personal style throughout the space that is finished on time and on budget.
