Trees are budding, daffodils are blooming, and warm days pepper our forecast… it’s officially Spring in Hampton Roads! After a cold and snowy winter, we can’t wait to get back outside. But the truth is, a sunroom by Hatchett Design Remodel would make winter more bearable by allowing you to enjoy the outdoors year ’round.
Hatchett can build a sunroom addition that will add both square footage and value to your home… not to mention the enjoyment it will add for the whole family. If you’ve been entertaining the idea of sunroom, there are four basic styles to consider: conservatory, gable, shed (also referred to as studio style), and solarium.
Conservatories are arguably the most traditional sunroom style and are distinguished by their segmented roof system made of glass or polycarbonate.
A gable sunroom’s roof has a center beam in the middle from which two roof panels slope downward on either side.
A shed or studio style sunroom has a single pitch roof that slopes away from the existing wall or roof of the house.
A solarium is an all glass enclosure that can have either a single pitch or gable roof and either straight or curved panels. Solariums maximize natural sunlight in the space and provide stunning views from every direction.
Each of these sunroom styles can be climate controlled to make the space comfortable through every season.
